Educational Program
Bring a professional photographer with you on your next vacation. YOU! Digital cameras have made photography so accessible by putting cameras into virtually everyone’s hands. However, it can also become so overwhelming with so many buttons and knobs to push and turn you can become so confused that you throw up your hands and resort back to using only the fully auto setting. Does this sound like you? You’re not alone. Many people buy a camera only to find they only know how to use it as a point-n-shoot and still are not getting the photos they dream of taking. Become a very successful photographer that shoots and processes your photos like a pro. My programs will take your skills from where you are to achieving your photographic dreams. No previous knowledge or special equipment needed.
Shoot Like A Pro Photography Course: 12 hours of instruction and hands on experience during four classes. Through my personal attention to the info and skills that are important to you, you will learn to shoot like a pro. To insure personalized attention the courses are limited to 4 students. Classes are held at various locations in the San Fernando Valley. The course is designed for the SLR user who want to use more than the auto settings.
Intro to Photography Classes: If you don’t want to take the whole Shoot Like A Pro Course you can take just the classes you want. Also if you want to pay as you go or spread the course out over a few months this is a good option for you. Shoot-and-Point lessons and classes for children and young people can be arranged on an individual bases.
Skill Targeting Classes: further hone your skills in various areas of photography and subjects. Class length varies. BASIC KNOWLEDGE NEEDED!
Photo Safari Trips: designed to get you in the field practicing, sharpening your skills and spending time with other amateur photographers. Both the P-N-S and SLR users are welcome to join in the fun. Bonnie is there to guide, give ideas & help. BASIC KNOWLEDGE IS HELPFUL!
The Photo Processing Lab: You can come every week or just when you have some photos to process. I am there to teach you or just give you a place to work. Whether you do not know how to get started or you know what you want to learn I will get you on the road to success . Maybe you know what you are doing but sometimes need a little help I am there for you. My lab is at my studio in Sylmar call me at 818-362-1937 to set up a day and time that works for you. You will have excess to Lightroom and Photoshop.
Photo Student Social: a quarterly photo student show and critique for any of my students to show their latest work, socialize with other people who love photography and want to improve their craft. It is free and an extension of my classes, workshops, trips and photo labs.
Who Are My Photo Students
Anyone who wants to learn how to use their camera to its fullest potential, take better photo and/or process their photos. From children to great grandparents, whether you have a point-n-shoot or a SLR, with no knowledge or experience in photography I will take you from where you are to shooting and processing like a pro.
My Experience
I have a BA in Art from California State, Long Beach. For 22 years I have been a teacher. The last 12 years I have taught middle school and high school. I have combined my love for teaching with my love for photography and art in order to help you capture beautiful artistic photos that will wow your family and friends.
